SALARY: 20.14 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits (Jan. 2008 rates)
HOURS OF WORK: Up to 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:45 am -11:45 am

SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Preschool Community Recreation Coordinator – the Preschool Instructor will be responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating a curriculum for the development of children ages 3-5 years in the West Shore. The ideal candidates must have the ability to multi task, communicate with parents, staff and children in a friendly and effective manner, and should possess independent judgment and demonstrate initiative in resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Early Childhood Educator or Child and Youth Care certificate
Experience working with preschool children in a licensed child care or recreation setting
Applicants must be a person of good character
A clear criminal record check
Must possess a recognized current first aid certificate
Doctors note stating excellent physical and mental health to work with children
Ability to problem solves and works independently
Ability to work as an effective team member
Communication and organizational skills
Customer service and public relations experience
Ability to be creative and flexible to ensure a fun environment
Outgoing and energetic personality
Ability to provide a safe and healthy environment
This position requires a clear criminal record check
